An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and student-centred leader to join our Wellbeing Team as Director of Students. This key leadership position plays a vital role in supporting student wellbeing, engagement and pastoral care across the College. Working closely with the Head of Students, House Leaders, students, families and staff, the Director of Students contributes to the development of a positive school culture where students are empowered to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

This is a POL4 position to commence asap until the end of 2027, with an ongoing teaching appointment.

As the Director of Students, you will:

  • Support House Leaders in responding to student wellbeing, engagement and behavioural matters.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of the College Pastoral Care Program.
  • Support effective case management processes for students requiring additional wellbeing support.
  • Build positive and productive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
  • Monitor and respond to attendance, behaviour and wellbeing data to improve student outcomes.
  • Support the development of student leadership opportunities, including House Representatives, House Captains and the Peer Support Leader Program.
  • Coach and support staff in implementing effective wellbeing practices and College expectations.
  • Contribute to key College events, celebrations, assemblies and community activities.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care and student management.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage complex and sensitive student matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive school culture.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic leadership and wellbeing team.
