Parade College
Parade College is a member of the national body of Catholic schools known as Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). Parade College is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia, dating back to 1871, and has a proud history of excellence in the education and pastoral care. Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for students, whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.
The College is pleased to announce, our VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Parade College became co-educational in 2025. The College welcomes full-time female student enrolments for the first time in our long history, into Year 11 in 2025. Starting in Term 1 2025, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, has expanded our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program includes a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy. Both academies provide a bespoke educational opportunity that allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course.

The Position
The Learning Diversity Leader plays a vital role within the College, ensuring that each student has opportunities for both academic and spiritual growth and to lead a meaningful life. The position supports Parade College's commitment to inclusive education, in line with the EREA Touchstones of Liberating Education and an Inclusive Community.
The Learning Diversity Leader is a key member of the Learning Diversity Team, assisting the Director of Learning Diversity in the leadership and execution of the NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) model at Parade College. Ensuring compliance with the NCCD, the Learning Diversity Leader enables access to customised support services for NCCD students and advocates for all students to realise their full potential. The Learning Diversity Leader plays a critical role at the College by strengthening staff understanding of the requirements and procedures associated with the NCCD model.
Supporting the Director of Learning Diversity, the Learning Diversity Leader oversees the Learning Diversity Coordinators and Learning Support Officers. They collaborate with academic staff to ensure optimal learning outcomes for students with additional needs. The leader manages cases and supports NCCD students with disabilities who need learning adjustments, as well as Indigenous students, students with Refugee Status, new arrivals, NESB students, and others requiring learning adjustments.
The successful candidate for this position will commence January 2027. The leadership appointment is for a three year term, with an ongoing teaching position associated with this appointment. This leadership position attracts a generous Position of Leadership Allowance and time release per cycle.
The position is a full-time position, which includes a teaching load.
About You
The successful candidate for this role will be a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who has specialist training and expertise working with neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities. Previous experience leading the development and implementation of the NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) at the College.
They will have excellent leadership and organisational skills. Experience working independently and in collaborative partnership with teams of teachers is also essential for this role.
A strong knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study skills, organisational skills and evidence of delivering effective targeted interventions are all desirable. The successful candidate will also be committed to the full life of the school and support of its Christian ethos.

Candidates will be required to have, and maintain, VIT registration for the duration of their employment.
