Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Specialist Instrumental Music Teacher to deliver high quality classes to our students.

- Appropriate qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Responsibilities and Criteria include to:
? Teach a range of musical instruments in weekly lessons, including drums, keyboard, guitar, ukulele and percussion, to students in Prep–Year two.
? Teach additional weekly drum, keyboard and guitar lessons through small-group sessions.
? Drive and coordinate musical performances for students, both at school and within the wider community.
? Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts team to develop and produce the biannual School Production.
? Engage and empower students through rich, rewarding and inclusive musical experiences.
? Create, build and embrace a positive, collegial and team-based approach to teaching and learning.
? Develop and maintain positive partnerships with parents, families and the wider community.
? Participate in and contribute to various school-organised events and activities as required.
? Write formal academic reports that align with school report-writing guidelines.
? Monitor the progress of each student and provide meaningful, regular feedback on their learning and musical development.
? Demonstrate competency and confidence in the use of digital technologies to support teaching, learning and communication.
