Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the part-time (0.22 FTE), fixed term position of Performing Arts Teacher, commencing 27 January 2027.

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to Catholic education, child safety and wellbeing, and the St Kevin’s Staff Code of Conduct.
  • The ability to provide engaging, high-quality Performing Arts learning experiences for students of diverse abilities.
  • Knowledge and application of evidence-informed practice, including direct and explicit teaching aligned with the MACS Vision for Instruction.
  • The ability to use assessment and data to inform teaching, differentiate learning and maintain high expectations for all students.
  • The ability to create calm, positive and engaging learning environments, with an understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
  • A passion for the Performing Arts, particularly dance, drama, media arts and/or music.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and a willingness to provide opportunities for students to participate in and present Performing Arts within the school community.
  • Appropriate qualifications and current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

Applications are invited for suitably qualified persons for the part-time, 0.22 FTE fixed-term position of Performing Arts Teacher commencement of Term 1, 2027.  

Our key selection criteria are listed below:

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich, engaging and rewarding educational experience.

The successful applicant will have a passion for the performing arts with a particular interest in dance, drama and music.

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students.  

The successful applicant will be willing to provide performing arts opportunities for community participation and presentation.

The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
