Applications are sought for the position of Director of Digital Learning - POL 4. This is a 3 year tenured Position of Leadership in conjunction with an ongoing teaching appointment.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Director of Digital Learning provides strategic leadership in the effective integration of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment across the College.
Working in partnership with the Vice Principal – Learning & Teaching, Learning Leaders, and teachers, the Director of Digital Learning supports the development of contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogical practices that leverage technology to improve student engagement, deepen learning, and strengthen student outcomes.
The role focuses on building staff capability, fostering innovation in teaching practice, supporting authentic assessment, and promoting the ethical and responsible use of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, in line with MACS and DET policies.
The Director of Digital Learning also provides pedagogical leadership regarding the effective educational use of the College Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it supports high-quality teaching, learning, and communication practices.
This role is distinct from ICT operations and does not hold responsibility for technical infrastructure, cyber security, system administration, platform management, or enterprise technology governance.
The Director of Digital Learning reports to the Vice Principal - Learning and Teaching and is a key member of the Learning and Teaching Executive.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Director of Digital Learning’s major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Digital Learning and Pedagogical Innovation
- Learning Management System Leadership
- Artificial Intelligence in Learning and Teaching
- Assessment Innovation and Academic Integrity
- Staff Capability and Professional Learning
- Digital Citizenship and Student Capability
- Performing any other day-to-day duties as requested by the Principal or his/her nominee.
Teachers are supported by the Department Heads, Learning Leaders, the Assistant Heads of Campus (Learning and Pedagogy), Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus), and the Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) across the College in the development, implementation, and teaching of the curriculum.
They are also supported by the House Coordinators, Assistant Heads of Campus (Student Wellbeing and Growth), the Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus) and the Vice Principal – Students, in the pastoral care and discipline of students, as well as the smooth and effective management of classes.
SALARY REMUNERATION: According to the CEMEA 2022, $79,589.00 - $118,063.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
A Position of Leadership 4 is $13,018.00 per annum.
