Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will:

  • deliver engaging, hands-on STEM lessons for our students
  • foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • collaborate with colleagues to promote a strong STEM culture across the school
  • contribute to events, projects, and initiatives that enhance students' STEM learning
  • have an understanding and commitment to MACS Vision for Instruction
  • have an understanding and commitment to the Science of Learning
  • be open to the implementation of the Direct Explicit Instruction pedagogy 
  • be able to work in a supportive team and have the capacity to establish, contribute to and maintain positive workplace relationships
  • be committed to ongoing professional learning

To be considered for this position you must:

  • have an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and be committed to its mission;
  • be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care; 
  • have current and appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • have accreditation to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools or be willing to undertake such accreditation
  • have a strong understanding of contemporary educational trends in STEM teaching and learning.
