Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking a full-time Deputy Principal – Learning and Teaching Leader to join our vibrant and committed School Leadership Team. This is a full time position and a key executive leadership position, central to driving excellence in teaching and learning across the school.
Whilst the successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school, the Deputy Principal position will initially be offered as a three year fixed term position with the possibly of renewal.
In this key role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Principal to shape and implement a contemporary, student-centred curriculum aligned with the MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.
- Lead the development and refinement of high-impact teaching practices informed by the Science of Learning, driving improved student outcomes.
- Inspire and mentor staff, cultivating a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and innovation.
- Champion the wellbeing, safety, and holistic development of every student through a commitment to inclusive and high-quality learning.
We are looking for a passionate Catholic leader who demonstrates:
- A deep commitment to the mission, identity, and ethos of Catholic education.
- Proven experience in instructional leadership and curriculum development.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and build strong relationships.
- A clear, strategic vision for learning that positively impacts student achievement and school improvement.
- Accreditation to Teach and Lead in a Catholic school.

Special Requirements
- Demonstrated recent success and experience in a school leadership position
- Postgraduate qualifications (highly regarded)
- Current VIT registration, including a valid Police Check
- Must be accredited to Teach and Lead Religious Education
- Current First Aid certification
- Willingness to participate in school events and meetings both during and outside of regular school hours, as needed
