Role Description/Criteria
The Reception Officer is a vital member of the Holy Name team, responsible for providing high-quality reception services, administrative support, first aid support, and excursion and events coordination to ensure the smooth operation of school activities.
This role requires:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) including the capacity to communicate effectively with others.
- Strong organisational and planning skills including the ability to prioritise, produce work of a high quality and consistently meet deadline.
- A commitment to a high level of customer service, including the ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure.
- Willingness to contribute in a manner that is collaborative, proactive and demonstrates initiative within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and willingness to seek guidance where required.
- Outcome focused with a positive, can-do attitude assuming full-responsibility for tasks undertaken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Applications are invited from passionate, dedicated and skilled administrators, preferably with experience in a school context, to join our Office Team. While experience is preferable the successful applicant needs to demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Daily hours of work are 8.45am - 3.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Prerequisites:
- Previous experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably in a school or education setting.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Proficiency in the use of Google Suite.
- Familiarity with the ICON eFin, eSIS and eHR modules is preferred.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- A national police check is required of the successful applicant.
- Adhere to the Holy Name Code of Conduct and Child Safety Policy
- A commitment to working in a Catholic Education environment.
The successful applicant will begin 1st September, 2025 or by negotiation.
