Role Description/Criteria

Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School is in the heart of South Melbourne and has an enrolment of approximately 368 students. We are seeking to appoint a Prep Classroom Teacher for Term 3 and Term 4 2025, with the possibility that the position could extend into 2026. We are looking for a skilled and innovative classroom teacher who has a growth mindset, is passionate and committed to lifelong learning, and has an understanding of evidence based learning and teaching practices.

-Foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff and parents.

Special Requirements

-MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care. The successful candidate must hold or acquire and maintain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

-Applications must include the names and contact details of three current referees, including current or most recent Principal or fourth year supervising teacher.

-Accreditation to teach Religious Education or be prepared to undertake such accreditation should the position become longer term.

-Candidates must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this.
