Role Description/Criteria

Catholic Regional College St Albans is a co-educational Years 7-10 College in the north-west of Melbourne. 

The College is looking to employ a Learning Support Officer (0.8 FTE) to provide support for students with additional learning needs. The role of Learning Support Officer (LSO) can be varied and complex due to the diverse needs of students. An LSO may provide support to one or more students for academic learning, behaviour support, physical care, and/or social and emotional wellbeing for part, or all of the school day, including during class, and at recess or lunchtime.

This is an ongoing position commencing as soon as possible (start date is negotiable). It is 0.8 FTE, working Monday to Friday, 8.40am - 3.15pm. The role is an Education Support Category B, Level 2 position under the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022. Subdivision will be decided in line with qualifications and experience. 

A full time role (Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm) would be considered, if the successful applicant is able to offer after school activities / clubs during the additional time.
