Role Description/Criteria
Salesian College Chadstone is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Violin/Viola Instrumental Music Tutor to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and develop the musical talents of our students while contributing to the growth of our thriving music program.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deliver engaging individual and group violin and viola lessons, as well as conduct ensembles, while managing student timetables within the school day. They will assess student progress, provide written feedback, and record results in the College’s learning management system. The role involves developing tailored learning plans and repertoire for each student, and preparing them for performances, examinations, and auditions. In addition, the tutor will actively support music events such as concerts and contribute to the development and evaluation of the Instrumental Music Curriculum.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong skills in violin and/or viola performance and teaching.
- Have experience teaching students of varying skill levels.
- Be passionate about music education and committed to fostering a love of music in students.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be enthusiastic about contributing to the College community through performance and collaboration.
