Role Description/Criteria

St Clare's Primary School Thomastown is seeking a Deputy Principal 

The position will commence at the start of Term 1 2026.

St Clare's is a school of 320 students from a variety of backgrounds and faiths. 

This is an opportunity for an experienced or aspirational leader to come and join our vibrant St Clare's community. The Deputy role will be attached to another leadership role. 

St Clare's has a wonderful staff that are open to building their capacity to support the students and we are well on the way in implementing the Vision for Instruction. Central to the philosophy of St. Clare's is that we are a Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) school that supports each child in becoming the best verisons of themselves.

Whilst the offer of employment is ongoing, the appointment of Deputy Principal will be for a tenure of three years. The commencement date will be 27 January 2026.

Tenure: Three years fixed term (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment.
