Role Description/Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
- a commitment to evidence-based best practices, with experience in or a capacity to enact explicit and direct instruction approaches/strategies
- an understanding of Structured Literacy and a knowledge-rich curriculum
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and improve within a team environment
- an ability to use student assessment information to inform instruction
- an ability to promote student wellbeing and engagement
- a strong ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- have a firm commitment to Catholic education
- be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety.
Special Requirements
- All applicants should be accredited to teach in a Catholic school or demonstrate a willingness to achieve accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school
- All applicants require VIT registration (or expectation to obtain for graduates)
