Role Description/Criteria

The community of St Catherine of Siena, Armstrong Creek is seeking a 0.6 Learning Enhancement Teacher to commence at the start of 2026.  We are very keen to fill this position and welcome the ‘wisdom of the experienced’ or the ‘enthusiasm of the new’ who wish to continue their professional growth and development in a nurturing school community.  We promote collaboration within dynamic teaching teams and embed professional research and evidence-based practices.

St Catherine of Siena is a Primary School in the Parish of Nazareth - Grovedale, Armstrong Creek and Torquay.  The expected enrolment for 2026 approximately 575 students from Prep to Grade 6. 

We are seeking a Learning Enhancement teacher committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students in their care. 


Special Requirements
The successful applicant will:

  • demonstrate a willingness to collaborate, support and contribute to the building of a professional learning culture 
  • display commitment to working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • demonstrate an ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences based on current learning and evidence based teaching practices
  • display commitment to Catholic education
  • show a willingness to build strong partnerships and links between our families and school
  • adhere to St Catherine of Siena Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
  • hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check
  • display an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
  • have a strong an understanding and demonstrated use of evidence based best practice
  • be able to demonstrate a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
  • hold accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School - this is an advantage.
