Role Description/Criteria
It is expected that the successful applicant will:
• support the Catholic ethos of the school and teach the Religious Education program
• embrace partnerships with students, colleagues and the parent community
• be highly motivated, organised and a dedicated member of the SFX staff
• undertake a wholistic approach to student wellbeing
• provide effective differentiated teaching across all areas of the curriculum
• be confident in the use of ICT
• demonstrate a competence in using an inquiry based approach to learning
• engage students in contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum
• demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
Special Requirements
The successful applicant will:
• commence work at the start of Term One, 2026
• either have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School, or a willingness to seek accreditation in the future
• have current VIT registration
• complete the attached Application for Employment Form, including the pre-employment disclosure questions
• have an understanding of, and a commitment to, a safe environment for children.
Application Procedure
Applications are to include a cover letter (no more than 1 page) addressed to the Principal, a CV that includes the names of 3 referees, as well as the Application for Employment document (see attached). Your current or most recent School Principal must be one of your listed referees.
