Role Description/Criteria
Successful applicants must:
- Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos.
- Align with the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement.
- Proven capability in delivering explicit instruction in key areas such as Literacy and Numeracy.
- Understand cognitive load theory.
- Implement best practice instruction, curriculum planning (evidence-based, knowledge-rich, coherent and sequenced) and assessment practice.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Key Requirements:
- VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to undertake accreditation).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting, learning-focused relationships with staff, students and families.
- A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
- A proactive approach to professional growth, including giving and receiving feedback.
