Role Description/Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
- An understanding and support the Catholic ethos and vision of the School, and be willing to be involved in School and Parish activities
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
- A willingness to be open and responsive to new learning
- A commitment to working as part of the team
- A commitment to professional development and hold a current VIT registration
- Be familiar and comply with all requirements of Child Safety, policies and legal responsibilities concerning the safety, care and wellbeing of all students
- Display a love of learning and a passion for working with young children
- A strong commitment to Catholic Education
- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- An ability to create a collaborative learning environment that engages, evaluates, challenges & educates
- Provide students with a child-safe environment
- Be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety

The applicant is required to comment on his / her ability to show evidence in the following:
Religious Dimension
- Nurture the school that reflects Christ’s presence in the world
- Dialogue and encounter with the story and teachings of Jesus and the Catholic Tradition
- Foster parish, school, parent and community partnerships
- Promote the Catholic faith and Catholic identity in a multifaith community
- Work alongside the parish priest
