Role Description/Criteria
St Clement of Rome Catholic Primary School, a vibrant and welcoming community in Bulleen, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to inspire our students from Prep to Year 6. St Clement of Rome educates 456 students across 22 classes. We are looking for a teacher who will foster a love for music, drama, and movement in alignment with our school's Catholic ethos, guided by our motto, "Love One Another."
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic teacher to lead and deliver our comprehensive Performing Arts program. The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Planning and implementing a stimulating and high-quality Performing Arts curriculum (Music, Drama, Dance) for all students (P-6).
- Facilitating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to explore their creative potential.
- Organising and directing school performances, productions, and assemblies, celebrating student talent with the wider community.
- Integrating the Catholic faith and our school values into the Performing Arts program.
- Collaborating effectively with staff to enhance whole-school events and learning experiences.
- Assessing and reporting on student progress, providing constructive feedback for growth.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who possesses:
- A recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Performing Arts (Music, Drama, or Dance) at a Primary School level.
- A willingness to drive the Performing Arts through Stage Productions.
- A proven ability to establish positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong knowledge of current educational practices and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to the Catholic identity and mission of St Clement of Rome School.
- Accreditation to teach RE (Level 1) is preferred.
