Role Description/Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
- An understanding of and a willingness to embrace the MACS 2030 Strategy, including the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.
- A passion for learning and teaching and will be able to build strong relationships with students.
- The ability to lead the learning in the classroom with an understanding of the Science of Learning and Explicit Instruction e.g. retrieval practices, Daily Review and Checking for Understanding.
- An ability to foster a classroom culture based on consistent predictable routines.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant technology to enhance student learning.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and will support the Catholic Identity of the school.
Applicants should have:
- Current VIT registration
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, or a commitment to undertake this study in the future
- A willingness to comply with the school’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct.
