Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited for this full-time, ongoing position as a Classroom Teacher, which will commence on 27 January 2026.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and wellbeing of children.  A Child Safety Code of Conduct is attached.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will be appropriately qualified and demonstrate enthusiasm and skills to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities. We are looking for a teacher who can provide care and support for students while supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.

The key selection criteria are as follows:

  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education.
  • An ability to create and maintain a child-safe environment in which students feel safe.
  • An ability to build positive relationships with all students and positive partnerships to engage families and the community.
  • Strategies to cater effectively for a range of students’ learning needs and adjustments to differentiate learning tasks.
  • A strong vision for effective literacy and numeracy teaching, using MACS' 2030 Vision for Instruction.
  • Purposeful use of Digital Technologies that enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Special Requirements

  1. As part of the application, please complete the attached St Paul's Application for Employment document. 
  2. VIT registration is essential.
  3. Accreditation to teach Religious Education, or a commitment to undertake it.
  4. Please include three professional referees, including your past principals, with contact details and mobile phone numbers.
