Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited for this full-time, ongoing position as a Teaching and Learning Leader (Literacy, Numeracy and Religious Education), which will commence on 27th January 2026.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and wellbeing of children.  A Child Safety Code of Conduct is attached.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to lead the school as we embed our Vision for Instruction and lead in the implementation of the new Religious Education Curriculum.

The successful applicant will be appropriately qualified and demonstrate enthusiasm and skills to lead the appropriate curriculum throughout the school. We are looking for a leader who is bold, understands the curriculum, uses data and is flexible as they work with our beautiful community.

The role will include a Position of Leadership 2 allowance.

The role will also include a teaching load, which will be confirmed.

The key selection criteria are as follows:

  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education.
  • An ability to build positive relationships with all students, staff and positive partnerships to engage families and the community.
  • A strong vision for effective  Religious Education, Literacy and Numeracy teaching, using MACS' 2030 Vision for Instruction.
  • Excellent use of data to lead the school
  • Strategies to cater effectively for a range of students’ learning needs and adjustments to differentiate learning tasks.
  • An ability to create and maintain a child-safe environment in which students feel safe.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Special Requirements

  1. As part of the application, please complete the attached St Paul's Application for Employment document. 
  2. VIT registration is essential.
  3. Accreditation to teach Religious Education, or a commitment to undertake it.
  4. Please include three professional referees, including your past principals, with contact details and mobile phone numbers.
