Role Description/Criteria
St Bernadette's is a high performing school seeking a committed classroom teacher for either a 3/4 or 5 /6 class. This is a contract position that may have potential for ongoing.
Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. Excellent classroom routines and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies is also required.
The successful applicant will have the capacity to:
- build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
- have the ability to provide a structured learning program that is engaging and student centered, while being informed by data, the curriculum and the Science of Learning.
- use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
- be willing to work collaboratively with others in a flexible learning environment and be committed to ongoing professional learning
- design teaching and learning experiences that are purposeful, engaging and meaningful for every child in your care
- participate in the broader life of the school including, when appropriate, the sacramental program, camps and community events
