Role Description/Criteria

St Michael's Catholic Primary School, Ashburton, is seeking a highly motivated Science / STEM teacher to join our community for 0.2, replacement teaching position. The days of work will be Tuesdays for Terms 1 and 2. 

The successful applicant will:
 

  • enrich our students with an engaging and contemporary Science / STEM curriculum
  • actively work with our student, staff & parent community to ensue that the Science / STEM program has a strong presence in the culture of St Michael's School
  • provide an environment of inspiration, engagement, and enjoyment to the children in our care
  • model the Catholic and community values of the school, working with the community of this school which is made up of families from diverse social backgrounds
  • have a commitment to Child Safety and a knowledge of Child Safety Standards
  • have a strong commitment to the philosophy of Catholic Education
  • be registered with the VIT or hold Permission to Teach
