About the Role:

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the specialist team to deliver a high-quality, differentiated teaching and learning program that places each student at the centre of all they do.

STEM Specialist :

STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) education comprises the specific knowledge, understandings and skills in each of these learning areas as well as the interrelationship between each of them. STEM education acknowledges that there are opportunities for learning to be delivered in an cross-curricular manner that facilitates greater engagement in each of these learning areas. This approach enables skills such as critical and creative thinking, collaboration and communication to be deployed in a rich and authentic way.

STEM education in the Victorian Curriculum includes the following learning areas: Science, Design and Technologies (including Engineering principles and systems), Digital Technologies and Mathematics.

Performing Arts Specialist:

The Performing Arts engage the body, voice and imagination, supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing and fostering collaboration and empathy. Through Dance, Drama and Music, students share stories, ideas and emotions while developing creativity, confidence and self-expression.

Performing Arts education provides opportunities for students to explore, create, perform and respond as both performers and audiences. Through these experiences, learners develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others while making meaningful connections to their real and imagined worlds.

 

The Successful Applicant Will:

  • Hold VIT registration (or be eligible)
  • Demonstrate experience or understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
  • Be committed to the ethos and values of Catholic Education
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, and team-oriented
  • Implement contemporary learning practices
  • Work in partnership with families and the wider school community
