Role Description/Criteria

St Patrick's Primary School is a vibrant and dynamic Catholic school, 20 minutes from Melbourne's northern suburbs. It sits alongside Assumption College, our sister Marist school, and we work very closely with their staff and students alike.

This position is responsible to the School Principal and Business Manager to administer the timely, accurate and relevant processing and recording of payroll, along with the supporting administrative tasks.  The position requires a very high level of confidentiality and discretion, as well as being highly organised and flexible in day-to-day work activities..

Key outcomes for this role are:

  • Payroll is accurately and timely processed;
  • Statutory, legislative and CEMEA requirements are adhered to;
  • High level data integrity and record maintenance maintained;
  • Employee service and queries are resolved in a timely manner;
  • Leave is accurately administered

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced digital literacy – expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) for seamless document management and data analysis
  • Must be able to work independently and autonomously, as well as work within a team
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate high standard of record keeping skills
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee data and financial information
  • Experience with ICON an advantage
