Role Description/Criteria
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Prep Classroom Teacher to join our highly professional team at St John's Heidelberg.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the full-time, contract position of Prep Classroom Teacher, commencing Term 3, 2026. There is the possibility for this position to become ongoing.

- Ability to work collaboratively, using data to inform planning and respond to diverse student needs
- Skill in delivering curriculum that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Capacity to gather and analyse data to inform teaching and provide targeted support
- Knowledge of the OCRE and the ability to effectively implement Religious Education in line with Catholic teachings
- Respect for the Catholic ethos of the school and a commitment to Gospel values
- Openness to innovation, including the effective integration of digital technologies to enhance learning
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth as a lifelong learner
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of and compliance with legal responsibilities relating to the safety, care, and wellbeing of students
Special Requirements:
- Current VIT registration
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain)
- Proof of identity and relevant qualifications
- Commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children
- Commitment to the ethos of Catholic education
