Role Description/Criteria

The Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic experienced Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our dedicated team in an ongoing 5 day  position (30 hours) . This role involves working collaboratively with classroom teachers, Learning Diversity Leaders, and allied health staff to provide support for students with diverse learning needs.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
  • Build positive relationships with students and assist in creating engaging learning environments.
  • Support the implementation of strategies in Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
  • Facilitate small group intervention tasks in collaboration with teachers
  • Support students’ sensory, regulation, processing, and language needs.
  • Record adjustments and program notes in line with NCCD requirements.
  • Participate in professional learning and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support school events, excursions, and camps as required.
  • Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos of Holy Family Primary School.

      3.Commitment to Catholic Education & Compliance

  • Commitment to Catholic education and values.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check.
  • Certificate IV in Education Support preferable.
