Role Description/Criteria

Commencing Term 3, 2026 (negotiable for the successful candidate).

Salesian College Chadstone is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our community as Faith and Mission Leader (POL 4). This Position of Leadership plays a significant role in promoting and strengthening the Catholic identity and Salesian charism of the College through faith formation, liturgy, spirituality and social justice initiatives.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with staff and leadership teams to provide opportunities for growth in faith and spirituality for students and staff, while supporting the implementation of the College Vision, Mission and Values.

The appointment duration for this Position of Leadership is aligned with the current POL cycle.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Promoting the Catholic identity and Salesian charism across the College
  • Leading faith formation opportunities for staff and students
  • Organising liturgical celebrations, reflection days and Don Bosco Festival Week
  • Supporting social justice initiatives and community engagement
  • Collaborating with leadership teams to strengthen Religious Education and faith programs

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to Catholic education and the Salesian tradition
  • Leadership experience within a Catholic secondary school setting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to Child Safety and student wellbeing
  • The ability to inspire and lead staff formation and professional learning
