Learning Support Officer (LSO) Position

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and collaborative Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our team for Thursdays and Fridays during Term 4, 2026. The successful applicant will work alongside classroom teachers to support students with diverse learning needs and help promote their engagement, independence and participation in learning.

Days: Thursday and Friday
Commencement: Term 4 2026

The successful applicant will demonstrate

  • A warm, patient and positive approach to working with children.
  • An understanding of inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • The ability to follow teacher direction, implement student adjustments and promote student independence.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn, receive feedback and engage in professional learning.
  • A commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of St Paul’s Primary School.

The successful application will have

  • A relevant qualification in Education Support is preferred.
  • Experience working with students with additional learning needs is highly regarded.
  • A current Working with Children Check and compliance with all relevant child-safety and employment requirements.
