Role Description/Criteria

The Learning and Teaching Leader:

  • leads from a Christ-centred vision, grounded in faith, hope and love, and models the school's Catholic identity and charism in daily practice
  • brings a collaborative approach to leadership — walking alongside staff and students in a spirit of dialogue, discernment and mutual respect
  • upholds the sacred dignity of every person, ensuring students and staff are known, valued and safe
  • engages in ongoing formation, prayer and reflection that deepens their own leadership
  • provides classroom instructional leadership
  • cultivates engagement, belonging and growth of others
  • leads change and continuous improvement
  • promotes and actively attends to child safety standards

As a teacher:

  • leads learning in the classroom
  • cultivates engagement, belonging and wellbeing of students
  • strives to develop professional practice and growth of self and others
  • adheres to child safety, school and system requirments.
