Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will be dedicated to embracing partnerships with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community in a high performing school.

The successful applicant will have a passion for Cognitive Science and the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement. They will follow evidence-based practices derived from research on how students learn.  They will embrace coherent and deliberate planning of knowledge taught and sequencing of tasks shown to positively impact student learning. 

The successful applicant will be accredited (or willing to seek accreditation) to teach in a Catholic School and have a demonstrated commitment to the MACS 2030 strategy of working together in Mission and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

St Mary’s has zero tolerance towards child abuse. 

The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
