Role Description/Criteria
The community of St Catherine of Siena, Armstrong Creek is seeking a Full Time Classroom Teacher to commence at the start of 2027. We are very keen to fill this position and welcome the ‘wisdom of the experienced’ or the ‘enthusiasm of the new’ who wish to continue their professional growth and development in a nurturing school community. We promote collaboration within dynamic teaching teams and embed professional research and evidence-based practices. We are seeking a passionate teacher, who will embrace our school's vision for evidence-informed practices and be willing to undertake any professional development required. This classroom teaching position is fixed-term, commencing on Wednesday January 27th, 2027 and concluding on Wednesday 26th January, 2028 with a possibility of future employment. The year level is yet to be determined.

Special Requirements / Selection Crirteria
The successful applicant will have;
- a strong commitment to Catholic education and the ethos of Catholic schools
- a willingness to collaborate, support and contribute to the building of a professional learning culture
- a dedicated commitment to working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- the appropriate qualifications, skills and abilities necessary to provide students with rich and rewarding educational experiences, catering for individual needs in an inclusive learning environment
- the capacity to implement efficient and effective classroom behaviour management strategies aligned with our current School Wide Positive Behaviour Management approach
- strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive partnerships with staff, students and their families
- an understanding and adhere to St Catherine of Siena Child Safety Policy and MACS Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
- current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check
accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (this is an advantage)
