Role Description/Criteria

Do you want to be part of an effective Administration Team who work really hard to make sure that the school is running as well as it can? Do you want to be part of a school who works really closely with their families to ensure that their children get the most out of every opportunity to be their best? Do you want to be part of a school community who really enjoy working for and with each other?

If that sounds like the sort of place you'd like to work, we encourage you to apply for the current position being advertised. St Mary's Primary School Dandenong is looking for a new Bursar/Administration Officer to be a new and welcoming face of our school.

The role description (attached here either above, below or to the side) outlines what is required for the job, and the successful applicant will have to also demonstrate great interpersonal skills and a warm, positive, welcoming disposition. We strive to serve and work with our families, and often as the first face that they see when they come in the door, the Administration Officer can be the highlight of our their day. The school uses the Melbourne Archdiocese platform ICON to manage bills, school fees and contracts.

We are flexible on time but we are looking for someone who can work anywhere from 3 to 5 days a week, with the preference being 5. Experience is preferred but not necessary, so if this is the first job you are looking to apply for in this field, you are warmly encouraged to do so.

We are hoping to have someone begin on Wednesday the 4th of November but realise that this is a short turn-around, so we are open to being flexible on the starting date.

If this sounds like the sort of work environment you'd like, we would love to hear from you. Our families are incredible and this is an amazing community in which to work.

Please forward a Cover letter and a Resume to the Principal, Mr Terry Gardiner: principal@smdandenong.catholic.edu.au

The resume must include the names of three referees. If you work in a school already, or have worked in a school, one referee should be the School Principal.

St Mary's Primary School Dandenong is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all students. The successful candidate will require a Working with Children Check which includes a Police check.

Applications Close on Friday, the 23rd of November.

Application Procedure

Please forward a Cover letter and a Resume including the names of three referees (one being your School Principal if currently/previously working in a school).
