St John’s Regional College, Dandenong, hosted the inaugural Paul Wade Cup soccer tournament for its feeder Catholic primary schools this week.

An amazing 22 teams totalling 220 students played a round robin tournament, culminating in St Anthony’s School taking out the Cup 4–2 in a nail-biting final against St Paul Apostle North School.

Paul Wade, a past student of St John’s, former Socceroos captain and one of Australia’s most capped players (118 games 1986 to 1996), attended the tournament to present the trophy and speak to players and coaches.
