Holy Trinity Primary School, Eltham North, has refurbished six of its general learning areas, and developed new staff and administration areas, thanks to a Victorian Government grant of $2 million and school community contributions of $1.36 million.

Principal Vince Bumpstead said the project had provided significant improvements to the learning and work environments for both students and staff at the school.

‘The refurbished classrooms now have large sliding doors opening to a fantastic outdoor learning area with decking, artificial turf and seating for the children. The staffroom has moved upstairs and now incorporates a large kitchen for staff. The front entry to the administration has been reconfigured with new offices’, he said.

The refurbished facilities were blessed in a ceremony led by Parish Priest Fr Michael Sierakowski, with the school’s foundation principal Laurie Hally present as a special guest.

‘On behalf of the school community, we acknowledge and appreciate the financial contribution of both our school community and the state government and, in particular, the support of Member for Eltham Vicki Ward MP, who also joins us for the opening celebrations.

‘We also extend our thanks and congratulations to Harmer Architecture for the design, CA Property Group for the build, and the team at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) for the project coordination’, Mr Bumpstead said.
