History:

Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School opened in 1987 with an enrolment of approximately 200 students. It was the second Catholic primary school in St Francis Xavier’s parish, Montmorency, and it was built to cater for the increasing number of Catholic students within the parish. The original school consisted of all relocatable classrooms and these have now been replaced with permanent structures. The current enrolment of the school is approximately 400 students.

Description:

Holy Trinity is located at Eltham North within the beautiful Diamond Valley. The spacious grounds are attractively landscaped, they provide plenty of shade and they are well used for educational and recreational purposes. The school buildings consist of fourteen spacious, well-equipped classrooms with a computer room attached. We also have a well-resourced, automated library, a computer laboratory, a performing arts/Italian room, a multi-purpose area and many office areas.

Features:

Holy Trinity School is a faith community inspired by the love of God. We are committed to providing a supportive environment that recognises the worth and dignity of each individual. We believe in a working partnership between teachers, parents and children. Our school continues to enjoy great support from our parents through their active participation, both in our educational programs and committees.

Holy Trinity offers a comprehensive and well-balanced curriculum. Our Religious Education program permeates our total curriculum and our students are provided with a diverse range of faith and life experiences. Our Sacramental program is parish-based with the parents and teachers working closely together.

It is of paramount importance that our students are provided with life skills and prepared for the future. We place special emphasis on our literacy and numeracy programs and we focus on enquiry-based learning. We also take a needs-based approach to the education of our students, providing programs such as Reading Recovery, extension and literacy support. Our sports and performing arts programs are given high priority and all students participate in a bi-annual performance. Students attend weekly eLearning lessons. They are taught the skills required to use computers as a tool to assist with their learning.
