At St Oliver’s we work together as a faith community to provide a quality Catholic education for all children enrolled at our school. We recognise that this is best achieved through positive and supportive relationships between students, parents/guardians, teachers and the wider Parish community. We promote a strong sense of welcome and belonging within our community.
The wellbeing and the social emotional development of our students underpins everything that we do at our school. We have developed a school culture where students have positive attitudes and show genuine concern for each other and the school community as a whole. Values and resilience are fostered through the social emotional learning program ‘Bounce Back’ that is taught in each class.
At our school we recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children. We value the importance of strong home/school links and promote a sense of connectedness with our families. There are many opportunities for parents and caregivers to participate in the daily school life of their children, and we embrace building relationships with the wider community to enhance learning and teaching opportunities for our students.
Our school is an integral part of the Parish of St Oliver’s in Pascoe Vale. As a faith community we aim to build on the faith experiences that the children have received from their parents at home and from their extended families. We recognise the parents of our children as the first educators in faith and we have a supportive community of parents who are involved across the school in a variety of ways. Many thanks to all of our staff, the students, the parents and the parish of St Oliver’s who make our faith community so special. This Report is provided as a summary of the events and ongoing developments that have taken place this year.
