St Bernadette's School is a Catholic primary school under the pastoral care of the Paulist Missionaries. It is located in North Sunshine in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Our school motto 'God Loves Us, Let Us Love God' speaks of the school community's commitment to one another and to living as Christians. The children come from the local parish and surrounding community.

There is a current enrolment of 350 children with two classes in each level from Prep to Year 6. While most children are born in Australia, many of their parents, and in particular grandparents, are born overseas.

We pride ourselves on our multicultural and religious diversity and we encourage respect and acceptance of all. The school was founded in 1956 under the leadership care of the Augustinian Sisters, Servants of Jesus and Mary and there are still members of the Order who are active in both the school and parish community.

Our mission and vision affirm the importance of a secure, safe and stimulating environment for all members of the school community.

We provide a curriculum that is contemporary and responds to the needs of the whole child: socially, emotionally, academically, physically and spiritually.

Our specialist programs – Music, Art, Physical Education and LOTE – complement and enhance our core curriculum program of English, Mathematics and Religious Education. Information and Communications Technology is fully integrated into the learning and teaching program across all curriculum and levels from Prep to Year 6.

As a school we are committed to developing our home-school partnerships in order to improve learning outcomes for the children of St Bernadette’s.
