History:

St John Vianney's Primary School is part of the St John Vianney Parish. It began in the late 1950s and has grown from an enrolment of 40 pupils to its current size of approximately 200 students. It has a strong sense of tradition and is a close-knit and welcoming community. Our school motto,
‘Love Conquers’, reflects both our belief in and our commitment to respecting and developing the uniqueness and potential of each person within the context of Catholic faith and education.


Description:

St John Vianney’s school is located adjacent to municipal parklands, sports ovals, the Don Tatnell Swimming Complex and the Mordialloc Community Centre. St John Vianney's is a small, Catholic, coeducational parish primary school, Prep to Year 6. An atmosphere of welcome, warmth and affection characterises the school, in which all students are known personally and encouraged, challenged and supported in their learning by a caring and dedicated staff. We strive to make our policies, structures and relationships a reflection of our belief in gospel values. Parent involvement and participation are highly valued. The development of a strong partnership between home and school is of vital importance. There is a wide base of parent involvement and support:
