History:
Our Lady of Fatima School opened in Rosebud on 1 February 1984 with 60 students in Prep–Year 4, and grew to Year 6 in 1986. The school consisted of two double relocatable classrooms, a relocatable toilet block and an administration block located in a house on the property. Another house was used as an art room and canteen. The founding principal was Mr Martin Dixon.
A decision was made by the then parish priest, Fr Lewy Keelty OMI, to construct a permanent school on the current site. Sir Frank Little, then Archbishop of Melbourne, blessed and opened the new building in October 1987. In 1994 a new library and administration buildings were added. With increasing enrolments, the school moved to a new site in 2004.
In May 1992 the Oblates relinquished their charge of Rosebud and the parish returned to the care of the diocesan clergy. The current Parish Priest is Fr John Paul Mount.

Religious Education, Mathematics, English, a Language Other than English (Indonesian), Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Science, Technology, and Humanities. In 2020 we built and opened a STEM room and co-teacher led program.
In addition, we have the following programs to supplement and extend the quality schooling experience: quality student wellbeing programs with social emotional learning, a Prep–Year 6 swimming program, camping programs for Years 3–4 and 5–6, engagement with the local community based on environmental and marine studies, a Buddy Program beginning with Prep/Year 6 and extending on to all year levels.

Assisting teachers with classroom help, especially in morning literacy blocks, sport, cooking and excursions is always welcome. The Learning Hub is an award-winning location in our school that serves to meet the diverse learning and social emotional needs of our families and students providing support mechanisms, enrichment programs, individualised-learning programs and a place to feel safe.
