Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking a teacher who is able to demonstrate:

  • a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and to the safety and well-being of all students
  • ability to work effectively in an energetic team.
  • a proven record of building positive partnerships with students, their families, staff and the wider school community members.
  • use data effectively to inform the teaching and learning of students
  • commitment to ongoing professional learning as part of a school community.
  • knowledge and understanding of Explicit teaching strategies and instruction delivering the Victorian Curriculum.
  • the ability to plan and deliver learning experiences that are differentiated to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles.

The teacher position will be initially offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, with the possibility of further employment depending on staffing levels.
 

The successful applicant must have:

  • full registration or provisional registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School. (or working towards this)
  • knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and of the expectations of a staff member in adhering to them
  • read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct
  • read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the 'Principles Regarding Catholic Education
  • a list of referees and contact details for Child Safety assessment and suitability purposes.
