Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking a teacher who is able to demonstrate:
- a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and to the safety and well-being of all students
- ability to work effectively in an energetic team.
- a proven record of building positive partnerships with students, their families, staff and the wider school community members.
- use data effectively to inform the teaching and learning of students
- commitment to ongoing professional learning as part of a school community.
- knowledge and understanding of Explicit teaching strategies and instruction delivering the Victorian Curriculum.
- the ability to plan and deliver learning experiences that are differentiated to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles.
The teacher position will be initially offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, with the possibility of further employment depending on staffing levels.
The successful applicant must have:
- full registration or provisional registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School. (or working towards this)
- knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and of the expectations of a staff member in adhering to them
- read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct
- read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the 'Principles Regarding Catholic Education
- a list of referees and contact details for Child Safety assessment and suitability purposes.
