Editorial

Thank you for joining me at last week’s Principals Forum, for sharing your insights and experiences – I am grateful for all the work you do in leading our schools. There is much to celebrate as we welcome Pope Leo XIV as the new head of the Church. I’m also heartened to see so many nominations for MACS teachers in the Best Teachers campaign, and I encourage your school communities to nominate the teachers who are making a difference in our classrooms every day.

The month of May ends with the Feast of the Visitation, an engaging story with Mary and Elizabeth proclaiming that God is on the side of the poor and the oppressed. Professor Kath Engebretson, Lead Curriculum Writer, Religious Education Excellence encourages principals and religious education leaders to share these gospel stories for staff prayer and reflection during this Marian month.

When sharing news of achievement, innovation and/or good practice on your school’s social media accounts, please remember to tag Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. Sharing your stories builds collegiality and enriches our sense of being a Catholic education community.
