Parliament Prize 2025

Each year, the Parliament of Victoria asks students across the state, from Grade 5 to Year 12, to share what you would say to parliament if you were a Member of Parliament (MP). This is a chance to talk about the issues that are important to you and your community. Record your own 90-second Member’s Statement video and you could win prizes, for you and your school! See last year's winner in the Grades 5 and 6 category, Mabel Martin from St Joseph's School, Chelsea.

Entries are due 13 June.

For more information, visit the Parliament Prize page on the Parliament of Victoria website.

Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme in schools

Hundreds of schools across the state are turning containers into cash. Why not join them? By returning eligible containers, you’re not just fundraising – you’re embedding sustainability into your curriculum, developing students' leadership and problem-solving skills, while creating a greener future and raising funds for your school or a local charity. For inspiration, see how Kolbe Catholic College, Greenvale Lakes, launched their Containers for Charities program.

For more information, visit the Schools page on the CDS Vic website or download the School Fundraising Guide.
