Role Description/Criteria

Simonds Catholic College is a secondary school of 411 boys in the inner city of Melbourne. Our small size allows us to know, inspire and support our students so that we get the very best out of them. The school is located in West Melbourne and is within walking distance of the Queen Victoria Market.   

We invite suitably qualified, engaging teachers with a passion for learning to apply for a full time Teaching Position commencing Term 2, to teach:

  • Unit 1 & 2 Foundation Maths
  • Yr 7-10 Maths

Graduates are welcome to apply. This a contract position for Semester 2, with a possibility for ongoing. Ideally the successful candidate is able to commence on Monday, 24 June (one week before the end of Term 2).

The successful candidate will:

  • be constantly striving for excellence in their teaching and have high expectations of their students
  • motivate students of all abilities to learn through an innovative approach to teaching so that they reach their potential
  • have high level skills in the use of technology in their teaching and in the monitoring of student learning and growth
  • connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning and wellbeing.
