Role Description/Criteria

St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).

Our College is located on two metropolitan campuses in Epping and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat.  Epping campuses are walking distance from each other and the Epping train station. The College has recently acquired an additional facility called the MacKillop Centre and a new Year 8 Campus in Reservoir.

A vacancy exists for a Teacher of Mathematics to teach Years 9, 10 and Year 11 (General) Mathematics.

This is a full time, ongoing position commencing as soon as possible.

Candidates must have the ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.

Skills/Experience

  •     Bachelor/Masters of Education
  •     A strong commitment to Catholic Education
  •     An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  •     An ability to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of        all students
  •     An eagerness to learn
  •     An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements

  •     The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration

Salary for this position is based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA) as varied from time to time.
