Role Description/Criteria

  • Fixed Term, 2 year contract
  • Part Time job share position, 3 days per week (Wednesday cross-over day)

THE POSITION

The People and Capability Administrator provides high-quality administrative support across all aspects of the People and Capability function. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by managing systems, records, documentation, and compliance requirements while contributing to the delivery of an exceptional employee experience.

This is a job-share position, working three days per week with a Wednesday cross-over day to support seamless communication and collaboration across the role.

Working closely with the Leader of People and Capability and the broader team, the Administrator plays a key role in HR administration, including talent lifecycle support, compliance tracking, HRIS management, and general administration projects. A proactive, confidential, and solutions-focused approach is essential.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role, preferably in HR, education, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and confidence using HRIS or similar databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • A proactive and responsive approach to work with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to work within and positively advance the College’s mission and Mercy values.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with child safety standards and HR compliance in an educational setting.
  • Experience with Synergetic, Martian Logic, CEVN or similar school HR/payroll systems.
  • A qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources, or similar.
  • Understanding of the principles of a Catholic community organisation.

 

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to a Working With Children Check and Criminal History check and will be classified in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

Shortlisted candidates will have appropriate suitability and background checks undertaken by the College.

SALARY RANGE

  • Education Support Services, Category C, Level 3
    $78,206 - $88,613 FTE
