Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and dedicated staff members for the role of Director of Students Years 9 & 10. This role is responsible to the Principal through the Deputy Principal Campus Director St Clare and is entrusted with overall responsibility for the guidance and support of the years 9 & 10 students in the College's St Clare campus. 

This role is a member of the Leadership Team and assists and supports the DP Campus Director St Clare (Greenvale) in all aspects of the campus leadership.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • As a member of the leadership team, leading the student wellbeing in the provision of an exemplary learning and child safe environment.
  • Promote and practice Child Safe Practices and uphold the College’s commitment to Child Safety, including identifying and responding to suspected risks or harm to children. 
  • Building the capacity of Years 9 & 10 teachers with respect to student wellbeing, child safe practices.
  • In conjunction with Year Level Leaders, Wellbeing Services and/or the Deputy Principal, coordinate the development of Behaviour Support Plans and Safety Plans for individual students as required.
  • Case manage students experiencing significant wellbeing challenges, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop individualised support mechanisms. 
  • Foster positive, open and honest communication with families to support home-school partnerships

This is a position of leadership for 2026-2028 with an ongoing teaching opportunity.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds.

  • A proven capacity to work independently and effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines and pressure.
  • A proven ability to build positive partnerships with parents, students and staff.
  • A capacity for creative problem-solving and adaptability.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • A capacity to manage highly confidential information. 
  • Exemplary teaching skills and practice.
