There’s good news from the netball and basketball courts for two of our primary schools.

St John Vianney’s School, Parkdale East, has been announced as School of the Year in the 2019 Netball Victoria Community Awards. The school has participated in the Schools’ Championships for the last three years, performing well on each occasion. This year, both boys and girls from Years 5 and 6 competed, with the boys winning the state championship.

Last week, the girls basketball team from Stella Maris School, Beaumaris, won the state basketball girls grand final. In a nail-biting game, the team from Stella Maris School defeated Camberwell South Primary School 25 to 23 in overtime.
