Every year, the school endeavours to support a variety of Catholic causes and organisations by building awareness, raising funds and making donations. During the cold winter months this year, the senior social justice student team rallied the school community to help collect warm clothing and bedding for those struggling in the local area.

‘As a Catholic school, the students believe in a vision of peace, justice and compassion, both locally and globally’, said the school’s Learning and Teaching Leader Jacinta Fedoruk. ‘We have a commitment to those in need and to making a positive difference in the world.’

With the theme ‘Make a difference – It’s a new day’, the students collected a trailer full of clothing and bedding to support the local Keilor community.

‘We wanted to make a difference, and do something to reach out and help people in our local community’, said senior social justice student team member Jett. ‘We worked together and helped lots of people stay warm during the cold winter months.’
